About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for access control at a food and beverage production location in Middlesboro, Kentucky. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with a fixed weekly shift requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. In addition to the anchor shift, officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $15.76 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs access-control procedures, follows site-specific policies, responds to emergencies when appropriate, monitors entry and exit points, verifies credentials, maintains logs and records, and conducts patrols. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorized access credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to check-in procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and document activities according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to identify unauthorized access or unusual conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, deliveries, keys, badges, incidents, and other security-related information in accordance with site requirements.
