About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location in Anchorage, Alaska, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, and members of the public. The role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to alarms and incidents, and providing professional customer service in a welcoming environment. You will follow site-specific procedures and policies, communicate clearly, and report security concerns and observations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, assist with directions, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established procedures, and contact emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.
