About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a utility location in Boise, Idaho. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, respond to alarms and incidents, and report security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and professional support for employees and visitors. The schedule is Monday and Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate entry, incident, and patrol documentation.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Report hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
