About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support an educational location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors. The role involves clear communication, teamwork, and integrity to help maintain a welcoming campus environment and respond professionally to campus needs. The position pays $14.50 per hour and is scheduled Thursdays and Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following campus procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports, logs, and electronic systems.
Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, directions, and other security-related support services.
