About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for site patrol at an assigned location in Montgomery, Alabama. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Monday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Pay is $16.30 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

The officer supports safe and orderly site operations through customer service, unarmed patrols, access support, incident response, and timely reporting. Applicants are subject to employment screening and must meet the stated age and education requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by following site procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Observe, document, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, access issues, and other security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and monitoring entry points to support orderly operations.
