About The Position

As a part-time, unarmed patrol officer at a retail location in Charleston, South Carolina, you will help safeguard clients, shoppers, and store personnel. You will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for this driving post.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and suspicious behavior, and report observations to appropriate store representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Assist with access control and visitor and vendor interactions, maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
