About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol and badge access duties at a financial institution location in Durham, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, supporting badge and access control processes, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents. The role involves using computer or tablet systems as needed and providing customer service and clear communication. The listed pay rate is $18.80 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; escalate information according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor site access, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report unusual activity or conditions to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications according to company and site-specific procedures.
