Security Officer - Part Time Patrol
About The Position
As a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Marion, Indiana, you will help safeguard clients by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. You will provide customer service and help deter security-related incidents while following site procedures and Allied Universal’s standards of care, teamwork, and integrity. The position pays $15.23 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access by verifying visitor and contractor authorization, maintaining visitor records, and reporting access control concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and emergency response protocols.
- Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, document observations and incidents, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
