Security Officer Part Time Patrol First Aid Preparedness
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors. The position involves communicating clearly, documenting observations using computer or tablet tools, and helping maintain a welcoming environment. The schedule is Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be subject to applicable background and drug screening requirements. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- Access control and badge experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols through building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and building information, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations according to company and site-specific procedures.
