About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol First Aid in Buffalo, New York. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned logistics and distribution site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The fixed weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may pick up shifts at multiple sites and can build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $17.41 per hour and has a Saturday daytime shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participates in emergency response activities when appropriate. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents and delivery-yard activity, and documenting observations. Applicants are subject to background investigations and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, delivery-yard activity, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailers, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by observing personnel, visitors, and vehicle traffic and verifying authorization according to site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, irregular conditions, and security-related observations in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
