About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Emergency Aid in Los Angeles, California. The role provides a consistent weekly shift at an assigned financial institution site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be available across multiple sites, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $21.54 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM.

The officer provides customer service, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access points, responds to incidents and alarms, and completes reports and shift communications in accordance with site procedures and company requirements.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific procedures and financial institution policies, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, or security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
