About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Leesburg, Florida, to support X-ray screening and provide security at a healthcare location. The officer will help maintain a welcoming and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by monitoring and patrolling the medical center, remaining visible to deter incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service and communication. The role is scheduled for daytime shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5:50 AM to 6:00 PM, and pays $17.50 per hour. Applicants must meet the applicable age requirement, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo a background investigation and drug screening, subject to applicable laws. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and healthcare-appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Assist with access control, visitor management, and giving directions while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and security activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
