About The Position

As a Security Officer X Ray Screening Agent in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will serve and safeguard clients at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will use X-ray screening equipment to inspect shipments and support security-related procedures. The role also involves maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with team members and visitors, and helping identify potential concerns. The position is full-time and pays $17.22 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, parcels, and belongings according to established procedures; document and report prohibited or suspicious items and activity.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and restricted areas; verify identification and maintain accurate visitor and screening records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
