About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening in San Jose, California. The role is based at an assigned logistics and distribution site and includes a designated weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule. The assignment requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 hours per week and adjust their schedules as needed.

The position pays $23.60 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. The role focuses on customer service, site security procedures, access monitoring, unarmed patrols, incident response, and accurate reporting. Candidates must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Applicable security licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, vehicle yards, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, observe the movement of personnel and visitors, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
