About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to provide building access control at a government building in Irvine, California. The officer will support a technology, media, and telecommunications location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine checks, helping deter incidents, managing access control, and providing customer service and communication. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $27.98 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local law. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, taking part in emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in accordance with established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, document processing spaces, receiving areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
Report unsecured areas, irregular conditions, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts to help protect sensitive paper records and business materials.
