About The Position

As a full-time, unarmed Security Officer at a retail location in Huntington Beach, California, you will serve and safeguard clients, shoppers, and store personnel. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provide customer service, and communicate with site contacts. You will support a welcoming environment and use computer or tablet tools as needed. The role pays $19.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
