About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol and provide access control at a government building in Irvine, California. Working overnight, the officer will safeguard clients, maintain a visible presence, deliver customer service, and communicate clearly while responding to routine concerns and incidents. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations according to site procedures.
Complete required reports, logs, and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
