Security Officer Full Time Building Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol officer for a commercial real estate location in El Segundo, California. The officer will safeguard the property by conducting interior, common-area, parking-area, and perimeter patrols; monitoring access points; responding to concerns and incidents; and documenting findings. The role also supports a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, property management, and emergency responders. This is primarily a driving post, with a schedule of Thursday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Pay is $19.65 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local rules and may need to be met before employment. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Hold a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures and site-specific policies and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, tenant requests, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity; report suspicious conditions and maintenance concerns.
- Document incidents in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence and communicate clearly with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
