About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Passaic, New Jersey. The role involves patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication as part of the Allied Universal team. The scheduled hours are Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; Thursday and Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; and Saturday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.53 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals as needed.
Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and observations while maintaining a professional presence.
