About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in De Soto, Kansas, you will help safeguard clients and visitors by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, managing access control, and maintaining a visible presence. You will provide customer service and clear communication, document security-related activity using technology, and support a welcoming environment. The position is full-time and pays $22.28 per hour. The posted schedule is 6:45 AM–3:15 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Experience with access control and badge systems.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or hazards.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain visitor, incident, and activity records.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, clear communication, and consistent adherence to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
