About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Whitakers, North Carolina, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use technology to document activity, communicate professionally, and address security-related concerns. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles, or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, materials, and deliveries according to established site procedures, escalating discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
