About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Management in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role includes maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally, and addressing security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s people-first culture with integrity and teamwork. This is a full-time position with a scheduled overnight shift: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM, and Friday, 9:00 PM–2:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.48 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Possess a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and follow access-control procedures for personnel, deliveries, and vehicles.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, access-control activity, and unusual conditions, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
