About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Access Management at a logistics and distribution location in Indianola, Mississippi. The position provides a fixed weekly daytime shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. The fixed shift is a reliable base schedule; employees may also claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform and can work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include monitoring access points, checking credentials, maintaining records, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and preparing security logs and reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs for visitor activity, deliveries, incidents, and other security-related events in accordance with site procedures.
