About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location in Sanford, Florida. The officer will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, assist with access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.19 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; document observations and report concerns according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain orderly entry and exit operations.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership about incidents, suspicious activity, and operational needs.
