About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer in Rochester, New York, to support an aerospace and defense location. The officer will help safeguard the site through routine patrols, a visible security presence, access-control support, and customer service. The role involves working with personnel, visitors, and contractors; responding to incidents and alarms; and documenting activities in reports and logs. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Possession of a Guard Card or license.
Customer service experience.
Access control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow established protocols, and contact emergency services or site leadership as needed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports and logs.
