About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Auditing in Nashville, Tennessee, you will safeguard a higher education campus and support students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests. You will conduct unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide customer service. The position is full-time and pays $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established campus protocols.
Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and communications accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
Assist with access control, directions, special events, and other campus support needs while maintaining a professional presence.
