About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Access Control Security Officer for a healthcare and research location in Oceanside, California. The officer will help safeguard clients and visitors by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and supporting access control. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and professional responses to routine needs and emergencies.

The position pays $24.56 per hour. The schedule is overnight from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Access control or badge experience.
• CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations according to site protocols, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and the property perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Provide directions, assist with access-related questions, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
