About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time armed Security Officer for a residential community in Coral Gables, Florida. The officer will conduct routine and random armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access, respond to emergencies, and provide professional customer service to residents and visitors. This is primarily a driving post. The position pays $21.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
An armed guard card or license.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, follow established post orders, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and client site procedures.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
