About The Position

As a full-time armed patrol Security Officer supporting a government location in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you will safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and responding professionally to security concerns. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule includes shifts Monday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Tuesday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, and Sunday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Prepare accurate written reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
