About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for campus foot patrol in Tempe, Arizona. The officer will monitor and patrol a corporate property, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine bike patrols, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, provide customer-focused support, and report observations. The role follows a weekday daytime schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and pays $20.60 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
Must be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
Comply with any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and use problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Communicate professionally with visitors and staff, provide customer-focused support, and report observations.
Conduct routine bike patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.
