About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in the Penns Grove, New Jersey area. The officer will safeguard clients by delivering customer service, following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies and incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. The work environment and conditions may vary by client site.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $23.12 per hour. Applicants must be able to walk long distances, use computers proficiently, and maintain a professional demeanor.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Be able to walk long distances.
• Be proficient with computers.
• Have a professional demeanor.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
