About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Foot Patrol in Louisville, Kentucky, to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role supports a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, drivers, and site operations while responding to security-related concerns.

The posted schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to midnight, and Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, access points, trailers, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and drivers, and documenting entries and exits according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, package- or vehicle-related concerns, and potential policy violations to site management or Allied Universal leadership.
