About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Retail Security Officer to help safeguard clients and provide customer service. The role involves carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergencies, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position requires standing and walking for long periods and working outside for long periods. It is a full-time, hourly position with weekly pay, an evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, and pay of $19 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Security experience of one or more years is preferred but not required.
• Have customer service experience.
• For driving positions, have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

• At least one year of security experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
