About The Position

As a Security Officer Foot Patrol in Ammon, Idaho, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers, employees, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position paying $17.68 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM and Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor for suspicious activity, potential policy violations, and hazardous conditions, and report observations according to site procedures.
Assist with access control and provide directions to customers and employees.
Maintain a professional presence to help deter theft and unauthorized activity.
