About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location in Gansevoort, NY, you will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to site needs. You will provide customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable team.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
Meet any licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document observations, incidents, patrol activity, and maintenance-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
