About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Foot Patrol Security Officer in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The officer will patrol assigned areas at a healthcare-focused location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role involves responding to security concerns, communicating professionally with staff and visitors, and providing customer service. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with hospital and healthcare facility protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with wayfinding, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
