About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Foot Patrol Security Officer at a financial institution in Binghamton, New York, you will help safeguard the client site and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. The role involves routine interior and exterior foot patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, and professional responses to security concerns. You will work with site procedures and access-control protocols, respond to incidents and alarms, document activity, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and client contacts as needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly report observations through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
Assist with directing visitors and maintaining a professional, orderly environment.
Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and client contacts as needed.
