About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Foot Patrol Protection in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and calm responses to security-related concerns. This is a full-time position paying $16.00 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
A guard card is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help verify authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering and leaving the location.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with company and site requirements.
