Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in a commercial real estate location in Menlo Park, California, you will serve and safeguard clients by conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The role involves customer service and communication, with an emphasis on integrity, teamwork, agility, reliability, and innovation. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $25.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor and contractor activity; report security concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and complete required incident documentation.
- Maintain a professional presence, provide directions, answer questions, and support a welcoming environment for occupants and guests.
