About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol driver in Spring Valley, New York. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and offers the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.00–$18.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, offices, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations; report unusual conditions or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other suspicious activity through professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.
