About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer at a retail location in Cowpens, South Carolina. The role involves monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, responding to security concerns, and helping maintain a welcoming environment. The officer will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with customers and team members, and support daily operations through teamwork and integrity. The position pays $15.88 per hour and is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access points for employees, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors according to established site procedures.
Verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-related concerns or unauthorized-entry attempts to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas, entry points, stock areas, and the property perimeter.
