Security Officer Part Time - Entrance Coordination

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for entrance coordination at a retail location in Greenville, South Carolina. The role involves providing customer service, conducting unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and helping create a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors. Officers respond professionally to security concerns, incidents, and emergencies, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and location management. The position pays $15.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Experience with alarm panels.
Customer service experience.
Experience with access control and badge systems.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, store personnel, and visitors by following security procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols through sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, patrol activities, and relevant observations, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and location management as needed.
