Security Officer Entrance Screening
About The Position
As a Security Officer Entrance Screening in Ladson, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as logistics and distribution. You will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and materials, and documenting security-related activity. The role includes providing professional customer service, communicating clearly with team members and visitors, and supporting reliable operations through teamwork and integrity. The position is full-time and pays $16.33 per hour. The schedule is Sunday and Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and deliveries entering designated areas in accordance with established access and screening protocols.
- Monitor screening equipment and report prohibited items, suspicious activity, access concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, facility entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
