About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for entrance screening at a logistics and distribution location in Ladson, South Carolina. The position provides reliable, assigned weekly hours, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be worked across multiple sites, and hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week.

The scheduled shifts are Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.33 per hour. The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific screening, access verification, recordkeeping, incident response, and patrol duties.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and authorized items entering designated areas, and report prohibited or suspicious items to appropriate site personnel.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization while maintaining accurate screening-related records and logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
