About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for security screening in Groveport, Ohio. The position provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with opportunities to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The role requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly anchor shift. Employees may increase or reduce their hours as availability allows, with the opportunity to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The posted schedule is Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Pay is $19.00 per hour. The position involves customer service, access screening, monitoring entry points and screening equipment, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals and permitted items entering the location according to established procedures, escalating prohibited or questionable items to site leadership as directed.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and screening equipment to help support controlled facility access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and use problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated business and perimeter areas, documenting security-related observations and incidents.
