About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening in York, Pennsylvania. The position provides a fixed, dependable weekly schedule at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The fixed-shift assignment requires a six-month commitment. Employees may increase their hours up to 40 per week and may scale back when needed; the role is intended for part-time employment and offers a path toward full-time work. The position pays $18.54 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Security Officers provide customer service while performing screening and access-control procedures, following site policies, responding to emergencies, and documenting security observations and incidents.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and/or deliveries entering the logistics and distribution location according to established access-control procedures.
Inspect packages, bags, cargo documentation, and/or outbound materials as directed by site procedures, and report discrepancies or prohibited items to site leadership.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, warehouse access points, and the business perimeter; document observations and security-related incidents.
