About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Secure Entrance in McDonough, Georgia, to serve and safeguard clients at a retail distribution location. The role focuses on managing entry points, monitoring access activity, verifying credentials, and supporting a welcoming environment for associates and visitors. The officer uses communication and customer-service skills to address security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, care, teamwork, and integrity. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate at a retail distribution center.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit for associates, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-control logs; issue and recover badges, keys, and other authorized access items as directed.
Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
