About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for Store Entrance in Huntington Park, California. The position offers a designated site and weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary week to week, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Monday, 2:30 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $22.32 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related duties, including patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and accurate reporting, in accordance with site procedures and policies. Applicants must meet the age and education requirements and may be subject to background and drug screening. Licensing may be required by applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer Service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions to appropriate site personnel.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and daily activities according to company and site reporting requirements.
