Security Officer for Store Entrance
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for loss prevention patrol at a healthcare location in Wilmington, California. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, responding to concerns, and helping create a welcoming environment. The role involves following site-specific procedures and protocols, documenting security activities, and communicating with appropriate personnel. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.32 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in accordance with established site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and access questions, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate contacts.
- Accurately and completely document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
