About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for entrance access at a manufacturing and industrial location in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The officer will safeguard the client by managing facility entry points, verifying employee and visitor access, monitoring activity, and reporting security concerns. The role involves maintaining a visible presence, helping deter incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM and pays $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records according to site procedures.
Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at facility entrances, communicate access requirements, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
